Operation Duck Stop Long Sleeve

Operation Duck Stop Long Sleeve

In September, our local Police Juror, Mr. Jack Clampit, shared that he was looking for ducks and geese to donate to the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home. Veterans in the area used to enjoy watching ducks and geese at the home, and over time alligators in the area eliminated the birds. Recently the home has gotten a fenced in section to keep the birds safe to help our hometown heroes enjoy watching them again! When Mr. Jack shared this, the community outreach was beyond amazing! Over 200 ducks and geese were offered to the home, as well as monetary donations for feed and habitat building!

Immediately I contacted Mr. Jack because military is so very special to me. I’m an Air Force Brat, married to a Marine, with an Active Duty Army Officer sister, an Army Veteran grandpa and a Navy Veteran uncle. Pretty much 90% of who I consider my family growing up has served or is serving, and military is in my blood! You can probably tell by the shirt inspiration, but Top Gun was a classic in my home, and it came to me so easily I couldn’t wait to get it out of my head and onto the paper!

As November’s Shirt For A Cause, 10% of the profit from the Operation Duck Stop shirts will go to the project at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home to help make the duck and geese habitat a beautiful, peaceful little space. 🇺🇸
